VBJ Unveils Its Parro Collection Inspired By Nature, Crafted With Heritage
VBJ, Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers, India’s most trusted heirloom jewellery brand, proudly introduces PARRO – THE SIGNATURE PARROT COLLECTION inspired by one of nature’s most captivating creations, the parrot. Revered across cultures as a symbol of prosperity, love, intelligence and freedom, the parrot becomes the muse for a collection that transforms its vibrant personality into timeless works of wearable art.

For over 125 years, VBJ has drawn inspiration from heritage, craftsmanship and the world around us to create jewellery that transcends ornamentation. With Parro, the brand reimagines the graceful bird through intricate silhouettes, sculptural forms and refined detailing, bringing together traditional artistry and contemporary expression in a collection that feels both playful and sophisticated.
Speaking about the collection, Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ, said:

“For generations, jewellery has been inspired by nature, but Parro goes beyond simply recreating its beauty. It captures the spirit of a creature that represents intelligence, companionship and joy across Indian traditions. At VBJ, every collection begins with a story, and Parro is our interpretation of how heritage can evolve into contemporary design while remaining deeply rooted in craftsmanship. These are pieces that invite conversation, emotion and individuality.”
Crafted in gold and diamonds with accents of vibrant gemstones and coloured enamel, this premium collection reflects the elegance of the parrot, its emerald plumage, fluid movement and poised presence. The collection spans statement necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, each designed to capture the delicate balance between nature and luxury while remaining versatile enough for modern lifestyles.
Reflecting on the collection, Jithendra Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ, shared:
“Every jewellery purchase is deeply personal. It marks a memory, celebrates a milestone or simply reflects an individual’s unique style. With Parro, we wanted to create a collection that offers customers something truly distinctive: pieces that are versatile and timeless. Whether it’s a statement for a celebration or an elegant everyday companion, Parro allows every wearer to embrace jewellery that feels as expressive and individual as they are.”

The collection reflects VBJ’s continued pursuit of original design, where every motif is meticulously developed at its in-house Creative Centre and brought to life through exceptional craftsmanship.
Speaking about the creative journey behind Parro, Anupam Karmakar, Creative Head at VBJ and WorldSkills Expert, said:

“The journey from the familiar ‘kili’ motif to Parro was one of our most exciting creative challenges. Our vision was not to recreate the bird as it is, but to reinterpret its grace, personality and vibrant spirit into a contemporary design language that resonates with today’s wearer. Working closely with Ahalya, our Senior Executive Designer, we explored fluid forms, refined proportions and intricate detailing to strike the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. Every curve, gemstone placement and enamel accent has been thoughtfully composed so that each piece feels expressive yet timeless.”
As a fifth-generation family-run brand, VBJ takes immense pride in its legacy as the creator of the historic Sengol (sceptre) – a sacred symbol of India’s democratic journey. Rediscovered after 72 years through meticulous research by the VBJ team, the Sengol was reinstated beside the Speaker’s chair in India’s new Parliament building, Sansad Bhavan, by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking VBJ’s enduring bond with India’s cultural and national heritage. Continuing this legacy, VBJ is now set to unveil its largest jewellery showroom on Coimbatore’s 100ft Road.

With Parro, VBJ once again demonstrates its ability to transform inspiration into exceptional jewellery, where nature, imagination and heritage come together to create designs that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.
