Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) have announced the return of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair (BGJF) for its 73rd edition, scheduled for February 22–26, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).

Coming off a record-shattering 72nd edition that welcomed 46,000 visitors from 121 countries, the upcoming fair aims to further solidify Thailand’s position as the world’s colored gemstone hub. This edition will feature:

  • Global Scale: Over 1,300 exhibitors across more than 2,800 booths, including an expanded International Zone.
  • Royal Brilliance: An exclusive jewelry exhibition curated and presented by HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.

  • Next-Gen Design: The “Jewellers” showcase, highlighting the innovative work of Thailand’s emerging designers.
  • Strategic Sourcing: A massive inventory of premium-quality gems and jewelry offered at competitive, manufacturer-direct prices.

In addition to the vast product displays, the fair will offer a comprehensive itinerary of networking receptions, professional business-matching sessions, and market-insight seminars, making it a “must-attend” destination for global buyers and industry leaders.

GJEPC’s first Riyadh BSM draws top Saudi jewellery retailers

The inaugural Diamond and Jewellery Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) by GJEPC officially commenced on 2nd February 2026, creating a focused business platform for Indian exporters to engage directly with leading Saudi retailers.

The event opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by H.E. Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with HRH Tarfa Al Saud from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Haya Al-Sunaidi of the Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia, and Atif, representing the General Authority of Foreign Trade Saudi Arabia.

The first edition features 10 Indian exhibitors and saw strong participation from prominent Saudi retailers, particularly Riyadh-based buyers, reflecting healthy local demand for diamond jewellery.

As the first BSM of its kind in the capital, the meet offers Indian companies a direct route into Saudi Arabia’s growing luxury jewellery market while strengthening bilateral trade ties.
