WEEKEND BUZZ AT JAIPUR JEWELLERY SHOW DRAWS JEWELLERS AND JEWELLERY LOVERS IN LARGE NUMBERS
The second day of the country’s leading B2B and B2C jewellery exhibition, the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS), witnessed a massive turnout of jewellery enthusiasts on Saturday at the JECC. Approximately 14,000 visitors attended the show on the second day alone. With enthusiastic participation from jewellery retailers, traders and buyers from across India and overseas, the venue remained vibrant throughout the day. The exhibition presents a fine blend of traditional and contemporary designs. This year’s show, with a special focus on coloured gemstones, is also showcasing an extensive range of gold, diamond, Kundan, Polki, and silver jewellery, which has been drawing significant attention from visitors. Designer booths, in particular, have emerged as a major talking point among attendees. It is to be noted that the four-day show is scheduled to continue until 22 December, is themed ‘Coloured Gemstones – Shaping Dreams in Every Colour’.
According to JJS Honorary Secretary, Rajiv Jain, visitors are not only purchasing jewellery but are also directly interacting with stall owners and designers to gain insights into jewellery trends, manufacturing processes and the latest market developments. From a business perspective, the show is proving to be an effective platform for retailers and traders to network and explore new business opportunities.
During the show, a successful meeting was held between the JJS Organising Committee and the Taiwan delegation, which was visiting for the first time. During the meeting, the Taiwan delegation expressed satisfaction with the show’s arrangements and business opportunities, and conveyed their desire to participate in JJS again next year. It is to be noted that 90 per cent of the members of the Taiwan delegation visited India for the first time.
UNCUT Unfiltered Dialogues Segment
Under the ‘Uncut’ Unfiltered Dialogues segment at JJS, two engaging discussions were organised. In one such session, JJS Honorary Secretary Mr. Rajiv Jain, a specialist in coloured gemstones, shared key insights during a coffee session with Mr. Chetan Mehta, CMD, Laxmi Diamonds. Mr. Jain stated that JJS considers itself its own biggest competitor, constantly striving to raise benchmarks and improve with every edition. Emphasising the enduring value of jewellery, he noted that jewellery is a product that never depreciates. Outlining the show’s future roadmap, Mr. Jain added that over the next five years, JJS aims to scale up significantly, with plans to expand the exhibition to 2,000 booths, reinforcing its position as one of the most progressive and growth-driven jewellery platforms in the country. During the session, Mr. Jain also reflected on the interesting journey and anecdotes of JJS, from its inception in 2003 to the present day.
A special knowledge session on ‘The Allure of Navratna’, presented by GIA, was held to educate and engage the audience on the significance of the nine gemstones associated with the nine planets. The session highlighted how each gemstone carries distinct values, energies, and properties, and emphasized the importance of correct placement and precise colour while wearing them. GIA panellists offered in-depth insights into all nine gemstones, explaining their individual significance, planetary associations, and unique characteristics. The discussion also covered the geographical origins of each gemstone, helping the audience understand their natural formation and rarity. To enhance understanding, detailed explanations were supported by short informative videos, making the session both visually engaging and educational for attendees.
Another session titled ‘The Jaipur Effect – The New Romance of Global Luxury’ was also held, focusing on Jaipur’s craftsmanship, spirituality and grandeur, and its identity in today’s contemporary luxury landscape. The session featured insights from Abhishek Haritwal, Ayush Kasliwal, Jhanvi Kanwat, Ramaanshi Narula and Sonal Sawansukha, and was moderated by Gunjan Jain.
‘Pink Club’ – A Key Feature of JJS
JJS Vice Chairman, Mr. Dinesh Khatoria, shared that the exclusive B2B pavilion ‘Pink Club’, which was introduced in JJS 2022 inspired by the Pink City, has today become one of the defining features of the show. This year, the Pink Club houses 74 pre-fabricated booths, including 44 jewellery booths and 30 gemstone booths. For B2B buyers, the pavilion also offers a dedicated lounge along with complimentary tea/coffee and free Wi-Fi facilities.
8th Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival at JJS
This year, JJS is hosting the 8th Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF). The festival brings together design education, craftsmanship and business exposure on a single platform. Its objective is to encourage and promote jewellery designers and artisans, while also allowing end consumers to experience the jewellery-making process up close and appreciate the skill of artisans.
Dr. Nawal Agarwal from JJS informed that JJDF this year features 67 booths. At JJDF 2025, leading jewellery design institutes from across the country are showcasing students’ collections and conceptual designs. A curated design competition based on originality and technical excellence is also being organised. The festival includes hands-on workshops with live demonstrations by experts on jewellery-making techniques. Additionally, budding designer booths are providing young designers and start-ups an opportunity to present their collections.
Artisans Segment at JJS
JJS Joint Secretary, Mr. Ajay Kala informed that the Artisans’ Pavilion, curated under the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF), has emerged as a key highlight of the festival, showcasing exceptional crafts such as Kundan Meena, Thewa jewellery, Chitai work, gemstone carving and painting, Nagaland tribal jewellery, and gemstone faceting and polishing. Master artisans from across regions are presenting their heritage skills through exclusive displays and live demonstrations, offering visitors a rare opportunity to closely experience and understand these timeless traditional art forms.
JJS–Indian Jeweller Design Awards 2025
The prestigious JJS–Indian Jeweller Design Awards 2025, an innovative initiative by the country’s leading gems and jewellery magazine Indian Jeweller, were presented by renowned film actress Diana Penty during a glittering and vibrant cultural evening held at the Jaipur-based Atlantiis Banquets. Jewellery manufacturers, retailers and designers from across India participated in the competition, submitting their designs across 135 categories. After a rigorous evaluation process, 19 outstanding designs were selected for awards from over 834 entries. On this occasion, Mr. Alok Kala, Publisher and Editor of Indian Jeweller, stated that hosting the event in Jaipur during the 62nd year of the publication was a matter of great pride.
The programme was enlivened by captivating performances from America’s Got Talent stars Divyansh and Manuraj, along with entertaining acts by comedians Mubeen and Gaurav. Award Committee Convener Mr. Arpit Kala shared that renowned brands honoured across various categories included G.K. Chudiwala (Jaipur), Pothys Swarna Mahal Pvt. Ltd. (Chennai), Khurana Jewellery House (Amritsar), Kirtilals (Coimbatore), Talwarsons Jewellers (Chandigarh), Vinayaka Jewellery (Jaipur), Anan Jewels India (Mumbai), among several other distinguished names.

Consumers are increasingly opting for lighter gold jewellery and diamond-studded designs. India continues to lead globally in diamond processing, with Surat and Mumbai supplying polished diamonds to major international markets.
Strategically scheduled ahead of Akshaya Tritiya and shortly after Gudi Padwa, coinciding with the peak wedding season, GJS April 2026 will host over 400 exhibitors across 700+ booths and is expected to attract 15,000+ visitors. More than 2,000 room-nights will be arranged for hosted buyers, ensuring a seamless experience for retailers sourcing jewellery from a wide spectrum of manufacturers and wholesalers under one roof.
A powerful platform where ideas are churned and the future of the industry is shaped, Manthan will be a high-impact research seminar dedicated to building the Vision Blueprint 2047—positioning India as the Jeweller to the World. Scheduled for 3rd April 2026 from 10:00 am onwards at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, World Gold Council (WGC) presents Manthan powered by GIA, with MCX as Commodity Exchange Partner.
