Indriya unveils ‘Orizon’ at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI, in partnership with Amit Aggarwal
A study of memory, material, and movement
At Lakmē Fashion Week 2026, Amit Aggarwal didn’t just stage a show; he engineered a sensory revolution. In collaboration with Indriya, Orizon is a masterclass in “heritage in motion”—a collection where the ghost of tradition meets the pulse of the future.

Forget dusty archives. Aggarwal takes the soul of vintage Banarasi and handloom and breathes them into architectural, sculptural forms. It’s not about breaking the past; it’s about giving it a new skeleton.

Amit Aggarwal said, “My work has always explored how tradition can transform. In Orizon, that transformation unfolds through sculptural forms, engineered textiles, and unconventional techniques that mirror India’s own evolution. “India is evolving rapidly, and our identity is expanding with it. I believe heritage survives by constantly evolving… adapting, absorbing new influences, and continuing to inspire new narratives.”
- The Material: Molded textiles that carry memory but look like they’ve arrived from 2050.
- The Philosophy: Heritage survives only by evolving. Aggarwal treats fabric with reverence, then recontextualizes it into silhouettes that feel radically new.
- The Emotion: It’s quiet disruption. The clothes don’t scream; they hold a “sensory dialogue” with the room.
The collaboration with Indriya brought a weightless brilliance to the runway. Legacy stones like Polki and diamonds were reimagined through engineered settings.
- Visual Motion: Tumbled emeralds and blush-toned stones that catch light in unexpected, flickering ways.
- Structure: Pieces that feel deeply dimensional yet surprisingly light.
Orizon is for the woman who is grounded yet futuristic. It’s couture that moves with the wearer, proving that the strongest statement isn’t made by the loudest voice, but by the most refined presence.
