Ekatra Reaches Rs 100 Crore Valuation Within 100 Days Of Launch, Raises Rs 10 Crore In Strategic Investment

As Gold Trades At Record Highs, The Lab-Grown Diamond House Is Betting Two Years Of Quiet R&D On Lightweight Fine Jewellery

Ekatra Retail Ventures Pvt. Ltd., a design, technology and content company, has raised Rs 10 crore in strategic investment at a valuation of Rs 100 crore, within 100 days of launch. The round saw participation from strategic investors, and follows Rs 10 crore of founder capital deployed over two years of pre-launch development. The capital will support brand building, retail expansion and product innovation across India and international markets.

Founded by Pavitra Gandhi, Ekatra has also announced Ekta Kapoor and Sussanne Khan as Co-Founders of Ekatra Jewels, with Sussanne Khan additionally taking on the role of Co-Founder and Design Director. Ekatra owns its end-to-end value chain on a vertically integrated, farm-to-finger model. The company grows and cuts its own Type IIa lab-grown diamonds — the rarest category, roughly 2% of all diamonds — and holds four patented cuts, including the 108-facet Shristi Ratna™, alongside proprietary hollow gold construction technology.

Pavitra Gandhi, Founder, Ekatra Jewels, said:

“Ekatra was built with the belief that the future of luxury lies in owning every part of the journey, from innovation and craftsmanship to consumer experience. This investment validates our vision and gives us the momentum to scale thoughtfully, expand globally and continue creating jewellery that blends technology, design and everyday elegance.”

Vasuki Punj, Founder & Strategic Investor, said:

“From day one, our focus has been on building a differentiated business with strong fundamentals, not chasing short-term milestones. This investment reflects confidence in our long-term vision, our integrated model and our ability to create a globally relevant luxury brand from India.”

Ekta Kapoor, Co-Founder, Ekatra Jewels, said:

“Every industry eventually reaches a point where convention has to make way for reinvention. I believe luxury is at that moment today. Ekatra isn’t here to participate in the category; it’s here to challenge it, with innovation, design and a completely new way of thinking about fine jewellery. The brands that will define the future are the ones that dare to rewrite the rules, and that’s exactly what we’re building.”

The announcement comes as gold trades at record highs of over Rs 1.5 lakh per 10 grams in India, up more than 30% in a year, forcing the industry to confront how much metal a piece actually needs. Ekatra spent its two pre-launch years answering that question: its hollow gold construction technology delivers the scale and presence of statement jewellery using a fraction of the gold — engineering the volume rather than buying it.

Sussanne Khan’s newly launched OH MY GOLD collection is the first full expression of that work.

Sussanne Khan, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Ekatra Jewels, said:

“With the OH MY GOLD collection, we wanted to challenge the idea of what statement jewellery can feel like. The collection is built on one bold idea, jewellery can look chunky, big and luxurious without using a lot of gold. By bringing together real gold, smart engineering and lab-grown diamonds made in India, we’ve created pieces that make a statement while remaining surprisingly light and effortless to wear every day. It’s the look of heavy jewellery, without the heaviness.”

With a library of more than 5,000 designs developed for India, the United States and the Middle East, Ekatra aims to build a globally relevant luxury brand from India.

Harit Zaveri Jewellers, the Ahmedabad-based jewellery destination founded in 2014, expands its presence across Gujarat with the opening of its new 10,000 sq. ft. flagship  in Surat. The new space at Parle Point in Surat is built on Harit Zaveri Jewellers’ founding principles: a contemporary approach to heritage Indian jewellery, transparent retail and considered design.

Actor Vicky Kaushal, alongside Founder Harit Zaveri, inaugurated the space with a grand Kabuki Drop, marking a significant new chapter for the brand in one of Gujarat’s key jewellery markets.

Harit Zaveri, Joint Managing Director, Harit Zaveri Jewellers shared

“We wanted someone whose public persona and approach to his work had some resonance with what we are trying to build. Vicky has that combination of reach, humility and substance. So for us, it was both a communication decision and a value alignment.”

Vicky Kaushal, Actor , as he browsed through the flagship and jewellery shared:

“When I was invited  to attend the opening of a jewellery brand in Gujarat whose ethos lay in  right craftsmanship, right quality and right price it stood out to me . In today’s fast-paced world, there is something truly special about the sincerity and quality it takes to carry forward a legacy as distinguished as Harit Zaveri Jewellers. Buying jewellery comes with a great deal of trust, and that trust is built through the values upheld over time. I’m really happy to be here in Gujarat  and be a part of the unveiling of Harit Zaveri’s  new legacy in Surat.

To me personally, jewellery is tied to  memories and celebrations, and you can feel that sentiment in the designs here”

Built on the belief in “the right craftsmanship, the right quality and the right price,” Harit Zaveri Jewellers has grown from its roots in Ahmedabad into one of the region’s most trusted jewellery names. The brand’s growth has been guided by a commitment to honest and ethical business practices, reflected in its philosophy of conducting business with fairness, transparency and equal respect for every customer.

For Harit Zaveri Jewellers, trust is not simply about the quality of the jewellery; it is also about how the business conducts itself. The brand believes customers should be able to understand what they are paying for, ask questions, compare their options and take their time before making a decision, without pressure or distinction. This approach to honest dealing forms an integral part of Harit Zaveri Jewellers relationship with its customers and its larger ambition to contribute towards changing perceptions around the jewellery profession.

The brand’s foundation is also rooted in a long-standing family legacy in jewellery through RBZ Jewellers Ltd., and this understanding of craftsmanship, quality and responsible business has continued to shape Harit Zaveri Jewellers. Today, the brand offers jewellery across everyday, occasion, statement and bridal categories, bringing together traditional Indian craftsmanship, distinctive design and a retail experience built around transparency and trust.

Now in Surat

The new Harit Zaveri Jewellers Surat flagship brings to life India Modern – the legacy’s  interpretation of how Indian jewellery retail can evolve with the times while remaining rooted in its origins. The concept brings together Indian craftsmanship, materials and cultural identity with contemporary design, technology and transparency, creating a spacious and considered interiorscape designed around the experience of discovering and wearing jewellery. The flagship is conceived not merely as a display space, but as an environment where jewellery remains the protagonist and every element supports how it is discovered. Having established itself in Ahmedabad with a strong foundation of ethics and integrity, the brand now expands to Surat, bringing the same values and commitment to its customers.

The Harit Zaveri Jewellers flagship uses Indian stone, sandstone, wood, brass and crafted surfaces alongside clean geometry, layered lighting and generous circulation. Rather than using traditional Indian elements as decoration, the design draws from ideas of proportion, rhythm, thresholds, screens and framed views to create a space that feels distinctly Indian without being conventional, allowing the consumer’s experience to remain at the centre. The space is designed by Rahul Bansal, Partner at group DCA.

At Harit Zaveri Jewellers, jewellery is more than ornamentation – it is a reflection of the wearer, her individuality and the moments she chooses to celebrate. Every piece is thoughtfully detailed, crafted with precision and designed to feel distinctive, bringing together quality craftsmanship and versatile, one-of-a-kind designs. From everyday and occasion wear to statement and bridal jewellery, Harit Zaveri Jewellers offers a diverse range under one roof, created to suit different moments and expressions.

At its core remains the belief in the right craftsmanship, the right quality and the right price.

The Jewellery Collection :

Gul thatdraws from the journey of the mogra from bud to bloom, reflecting ideas of becoming, self-discovery and inner radiance. Crafted in 22KT gold, the collection brings together floral and botanical forms, paisley and leaf motifs, pearls, beads and coloured gemstones, with traditional craftsmanship interpreted through a contemporary lens.

Saanjh looks at the wedding through the intimate moments that surround it –  the conversations, rituals, laughter and quiet pauses that become part of the story. Designed for the modern bride, the collection brings together 22KT gold, uncut polki and kundan work, temple-inspired forms, engraved bangles, sculptural cuffs and statement pieces, balancing Indian heritage with a more individual approach to bridal dressing.

The Polki collection celebrates the timeless allure of uncut diamonds, bringing the richness of traditional Indian jewellery into a more contemporary expression. Paired with vivid emeralds, pearls and intricate gold craftsmanship, from necklaces and bridal sets to kadas, earrings and rings. Rooted in the grandeur of Indian heirloom jewellery, each piece is designed to feel distinctive yet enduring, jewellery that can mark a special moment today and become part of a story carried forward.
