Titan Company Limited has reported a 21% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its jewellery portfolio for the second quarter of FY 2026–27, driven by robust performance in studded jewellery, steady momentum in plain gold, and ongoing retail network expansion.

Key Highlights & Financial Performance

  • Overall Jewellery Growth: Total portfolio revenue rose 21% YoY during Q2 FY27.
  • Segment Breakdown: Studded jewellery expanded in the early 30% range—boosted by targeted brand promotions and the “Festival of Diamonds” campaign. Plain gold jewellery registered a ~20% YoY increase, whereas demand for investment-led gold coins saw a high single-digit decline against a elevated base from the previous year.
  • Transaction Metrics: Portfolio buyer volume grew in the mid-single digits, while average ticket sizes achieved double-digit growth. Consumer demand was healthy across most of the quarter, moderating briefly toward the end due to a shift in the festive calendar into Q3.

Brand Performance & Domestic Expansion

Titan added 42 net stores to its domestic jewellery network in Q2 FY27, bringing the total footprint to 1,269 stores as of September 2026.

  • CaratLane: Maintained its lead as the fastest-growing domestic brand, delivering 32% YoY growth and adding 13 net stores (totaling 394 stores).
  • Tanishq, Mia, Zoya & beYon: Combined revenues grew 20% YoY with 29 net store additions, expanding the group’s network to 875 stores.

International Business Overview

  • North America: Combined operations across Tanishq, Mia, and CaratLane sustained strong double-digit growth.
  • GCC Region: Showed continued resilience despite macro and geopolitical volatility, supported by improving growth at Tanishq and early operational recovery signs at Damas Jewellery (in which Titan holds a 67% stake, consolidated as of January 2026).

Rajesh Rokde, Chairman -GJC issued a statement on The 57th GST Council recommendation. Which included  a series of measures to simplify tax administration, accelerate refunds and reduce compliance costs, with potential benefits for India’s gem and jewellery manufacturers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers.

The statement read:

GST 2.0 is a landmark reform that ushers in a new era of trust, transparency, and efficiency for the gems and jewellery sector. It reflects the government’s commitment to ease of doing business and provides jewellers with the confidence to focus on growth, innovation, and customer service.

These progressive steps will strengthen industry credibility, safeguard livelihoods, and contribute to sustainable development across India. The Council’s recommendations comprehensively address areas that jewellers have long sought reform in — from smoother movement of goods in transit and faster automated refunds that improve cash flow, to fairer notices that reduce litigation and ensure natural justice.

The rationalization of penalties, reduction of the general penalty cap, and recognition of employee insurance ITC reflect a balanced approach that values both compliance and care for our workforce. Most importantly, the withdrawal of arrest powers and the increase in prosecution thresholds will instill greater trust and confidence across the trade.

Together, these measures will reduce disruption, improve working capital, safeguard livelihoods, and create a more supportive business environment. GJC wholeheartedly welcomes GST 2.0 as a forward-looking framework that empowers jewellers, enhances industry credibility, and contributes to sustainable growth for one of India’s most vital sectors
