Actor Showcases Indian Couture & High Jewellery While Championing Global South Asian Representation
Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas added another milestone to her international journey after receiving the prestigious Global Vanguard Honor at Gold Gala 2026, hosted by Gold House in Los Angeles. The recognition celebrates influential voices shaping cross-cultural narratives, leadership, and representation across industries.
Held at The Music Center under the theme “A New Gold World,” the gala honoured changemakers redefining global culture and influence. Priyanka joined an esteemed list of honourees including Jet Li, Simu Liu, and Charles Melton.
Styled by Ami Patel, Priyanka embraced Indian heritage in a striking couture look for the award, that was paired with exceptional Bvlgari High Jewellery creations and a custom ensemble by couturier Amit Aggarwal. She walked the red carpet alongside her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, wearing an ivory-toned couture interpretation of a 20-year-old chikankari saree reimagined into contemporary fashion.
The highlight of the look was Bvlgari’s “The Drops of Hope” Necklace from the maison’s Aeterna Collection. Crafted in platinum, the High Jewellery masterpiece featured 12.15 carats of pear-cut emeralds, 6.27 carats of pear-cut diamonds, 2.85 carats of buff-top emeralds, 11.37 carats of step-cut diamonds, and 18.90 carats of pavé-set diamonds.
Inspired by the symbolism of the goddess Venus, the necklace celebrates emeralds as emblems of hope and love, with cascading emerald teardrops extending outward to represent optimism and new beginnings.
The appearance further highlighted how Indian couture and high jewellery continue to command global attention through influential cultural icons like Priyanka Chopra Jonas. By seamlessly blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary luxury, Priyanka once again showcased the growing global influence of Indian fashion, jewellery artistry, and South Asian representation on the world stage.

Stories of resilience from business leaders often inspire individuals across all walks of life, and this time, it was Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor who shared his appreciation for the profound insights in Choosing Gold, the debut memoir of Dr. Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director of PNG Jewellers, when presented with a copy by the author recently.
Released nationally by Penguin Random House India, Choosing Gold traces the mindset that built the 194-year-old legacy of PNG Jewellers and that of its Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Saurabh Gadgil. During their interaction, Ranbir Kapoor revealed he was excited to dive deep into the book after being drawn to its premise, praising its raw reflection on legacy, choices, tough decisions, learnings from failures and overcoming setbacks. Ranbir is an avid reader and appreciates real life stories and autobiographies.
