IAGES Recognises Industry Leaders for Excellence, Quality and Trust at IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026
The Indian Association for Gold Excellence and Standards (IAGES) marked a highly successful and action-packed Day 1 at IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, recognizing jewellery businesses that successfully completed and cleared the IAGES assessment and accreditation process.
At the IAGES booth, accreditation certificates were formally presented to prominent jewellers and industry participants in recognition of their commitment to quality, transparency, and industry excellence.

GJEPC Hosts UK Trade Interaction In Kolkata To Boost Exports
British Deputy High Commissioner Highlighted Emerging Opportunities In The UK Market and Outlined The Support Available To Indian Businesses Through The UK High Commission. Exporters Discussed Their Experience and Interest In Participating In International Trade Fairs In The UK,
India’s GJEPC) held a trade interaction with British diplomats in Kolkata on Sept. 9 to boost gem and jewellery exports to the United Kingdom, the industry body said.
- The meeting, led by GJEPC Eastern Region Chairman Pankaj Parekh and British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew Fleming, convened over 20 regional exporters and prominent local jewellers.
- Dr. Fleming highlighted emerging opportunities in the UK market and outlined the support available to Indian businesses through the UK High Commission. Exporters discussed their experience and interest in participating in international trade fairs in the UK,
- Discussions focused on expanding trade under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), launched on July 15, 2026.
- The event highlighted six regional exporters who recently completed their maiden shipments to the UK from Kolkata port under the new trade pact.
- British officials, including Deputy Consul Sandip Choudhary, addressed trade bottlenecks, tariff barriers, and participation in UK trade fairs, pledging ongoing support to facilitate market access for Eastern Region exporters.
