Gold Slips Below Rs 1.45 lakh On MCX As Middle East Tensions Rise
Despite The Drop In Domestic Trade, Global Gold Prices Remained Supported By dip-Buying. Bullion Traded Near $4,130 An Bounce After Rising 3% Over The Previous Two Sessions
Gold prices declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) as escalating tensions in the Middle East weighed on sentiment. The August gold futures contract fell 0.31% to Rs 1,44,963 per 10 grams, while the September silver futures slipped 0.23% to Rs 2,26,474 per kg.
Despite the drop in domestic trade, global gold prices remained supported by dip-buying. Bullion traded near $4,130 an ounce after rising 3% over the previous two sessions, even as concerns over higher oil prices and inflation kept investors cautious
A sharper rise in crude oil prices has reinforced expectations that inflation could stay elevated for longer, potentially prompting the US Federal Reserve to keep rates higher. That outlook has kept pressure on precious metals even as geopolitical uncertainty continues to support safe-haven demand.
