GJEPC Conducts eBay, Mega CFC Session To Boost E-commerce Exports
The Event Covered Onboarding Essentials, Documentation, and Tailored Support
GJEPC organised a blended onboarding session with eBay and Mega CFC on 25 March to strengthen e-commerce exports, drawing participation from 64 industry members.
The session focused on helping exporters use digital platforms to access global markets. Speakers guided participants through the onboarding process, documentation requirements, and available support.
Saurabh Wadhwa, Manager – Business Development (Gems & Jewellery), eBay, explained the documentation requirements and detailed the step-by-step onboarding process for sellers joining eBay. Ravi Menon, CEO, Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC, highlighted Mega CFC’s AI-led creative services, which enable exporters to create product listings without physical shoots, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Nitin Khandelwal, Regional Director – Jaipur, GJEPC, emphasised that e-commerce offers a low-barrier entry route for new exporters to begin their export journey.
GJEPC and its partners will now form onboarding batches for participants ready with documentation, and will conduct a separate support session for existing eBay sellers facing operational issues. They will also create a second batch for participants still completing their documentation.
The session saw strong engagement and reflected growing interest in e-commerce as a scalable export channel.

GJEPC Represents Mumbai’s GJ Sector At ODOP Award Assessment
GJEPC Presented An Overview Of Mumbai Suburban’s GJ Industry, Highlighting Its Contribution To Exports, Employment Generation, MSME Development
GJEPC participated in the Government of Maharashtra’s One District One Product (ODOP) Award 2025 assessment on 25 June 2026, representing the gems and jewellery sector as Mumbai Suburban District advanced to the first stage of the award process.
As part of the second-stage physical verification, officials from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) reviewed the district’s performance under the ODOP initiative. GJEPC presented an overview of Mumbai Suburban’s gems and jewellery industry, highlighting its contribution to exports, employment generation, MSME development, and Maharashtra’s industrial economy.
As part of the verification process, the DPIIT delegation is also scheduled to visit SEEPZ, Mumbai, to assess the district’s manufacturing and export ecosystem and gain first-hand insight into the sector’s capabilities.
