DC, NSEZ Notifies detailed procedure for postal exports from Noida and Jaipur SEZs
The Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), has notified a detailed procedure for postal exports from Noida SEZ and Sitapura SEZ, Jaipur, following sustained efforts and engagement by the GJEPC with the authorities to streamline e-commerce exports.
Issued through Public Notice No. 02/2025-26 dated 18 December 2025, the notification provides a structured framework for customs clearance of e-commerce parcels through Foreign Post Office (FPO) extensions set up at Noida SEZ and SEZ I & II, Sitapura, Jaipur. The initiative is aimed at promoting e-commerce exports by simplifying procedures and improving turnaround times.
Under the notified process, SEZ units can export goods through postal mode by filing shipping bills on the SEZ-Online system. Each unit may export goods to more than one consignee under a single shipping bill. After assessment, parcels along with the assessed shipping bill copy and CN label are to be presented at the designated FPO extension for examination. Open examination of parcels will generally not be required, except with prior approval of the Specified Officer.
The procedure also lays down clear responsibilities for postal authorities, including endorsement of tracking numbers on assessed shipping bills and submission of proof of export in the form of relevant CN forms. The value limit for exports through courier or postal services has been set at Rs.10 lakh per consignment.
The public notice will serve as a standing order for officers posted at Noida SEZ and Sitapura SEZ, Jaipur, and any implementation issues will be resolved with reference to the applicable CBIC circulars. The measure is expected to significantly benefit MSMEs and sectors such as gems and jewellery by enabling faster, compliant, and cost-effective access to global e-commerce markets.
