Gold, Silver In India Traded Volatile Despite Positive Sentiment
MCX Gold Held Its Ground Above Rs 1.44 Lakh Per 10 Grams
Despite some choppy trading in India, precious metals managed to put up impressive numbers worldwide, while energy took a noticeable hit. Despite trading mildly lower in India, MCX gold held its ground above Rs 1.44 lakh per 10 grams. Meanwhile, global investors pushed Spot gold up by 1%, crossing the $4,065 per ounce mark.
MCX silver climbed nearly 0.6% to hover near Rs 2.32 lakh per 1Kg, while global Spot silver stole the show—soaring nearly 2% to reclaim a massive $60 per ounce.
It was a rough session for the energy sector. Crude prices tumbled between 1% and 2%, dragging US WTI Crude down below $68 per barrel and leaving Brent Crude struggling under $71 per barrel.
