GJEPC, ECGC Programme Underlines Recent Changes In Export Credit Insurance For The GJ Sector.
ECGC Increased The Ceiling Under Its Whole Turnover Export Credit Insurance For Banks (WT-ECIB) Cover From ₹100 Crore To ₹300 Crore Per Exporter Or Exporter Group.
Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd. (ECGC), in association with the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), organised an awareness programme on 12 October 2026 at Bharat Diamond Bourse, Mumbai, to explain recent changes in export credit insurance for the gems and jewellery sector.
Mital Doshi, Convener – Banking, Insurance & Taxation, GJEPC, welcomed the ECGC representatives and delivered the introductory remarks. Also present were Ashish Borda, Convener – PMBD GJEPC; and Bharat Ghouri, Co-convener – MSME, GJEPC. The programme featured Sachin Khanna, DGM, ECGC; R.K. Pandian, GM, ECGC, who delivered the keynote address; Balbir Singh Maan, DGM, ECGC, who presented the revised provisions; and Kumar Smit Saurav, DGM, ECGC.
Effective 1 July 2026, ECGC increased the ceiling under its Whole Turnover Export Credit Insurance for Banks (WT-ECIB) cover from Rs 100 crore to Rs 300 crore per exporter or exporter group. The revision followed sustained engagement between GJEPC and ECGC, with the Council seeking higher coverage and greater protection for exporters. The final limit of Rs 300 crore exceeded the Rs 200 crore increase previously under discussion. The presentation attributed the expansion to improved export performance and a decline in defaults and claims.
Maan’s presentation traced the scheme’s evolution. Large defaults and claims in 2009 had led to tighter underwriting conditions, followed by restricted coverage. Relaxations introduced in 2022 allowed cover of up to Rs 100 crore under the whole-turnover framework.
The revised guidelines also increased the normal cover available to banks from 50% to 75%, strengthening protection against potential losses arising from non-payment by overseas buyers. The change could also reduce the cost of cover and provide greater flexibility in export financing.
Eligible limits exceeding Rs 300 crore can receive partial WT-ECIB coverage up to the approved ceiling, with the excess remaining uncovered. Existing individual ECIB accounts with fresh or enhanced limits above Rs 300 crore may be considered under the individual-cover framework, subject to applicable guidelines.
The session also highlighted the requirement for exporters to register through GJEPC’s e-KYC platform, MyKYCBank, to facilitate identification of exporters availing finance under the scheme. ECGC urged exporters to ensure timely realisation of export proceeds and coordinate with their banks on applicable coverage and terms.
The programme concluded with an open discussion on the revised provisions and their implications for export finance in the gems and jewellery sector.

Reva By PNGS Appoints Sharvari As Its First-Ever Brand Ambassador
~The Month-Long Campaign, Running From October 11 To November 11, 2026, Combines Zero Making Charges With Personalised Gold Gifting Through Its “You Name It, We Make It” Offering~
Reva, the certified natural diamond jewellery brand of PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Limited announced actor Sharvari as its brand ambassador. This is the first time Reva has partnered with a celebrity face, marking a milestone moment for the brand just months after its listing on the stock exchanges in March 2026, and as it embarks on its most ambitious expansion yet.
Sharvari is one of Hindi cinema’s most exciting young leads, with a growing body of work that spans diverse genres, from horror-comedy and action to romance. She made her big-screen debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 and has since been seen in Munjya, Maharaj, Vedaa, Main Vaapas Aaunga and YRF’s Alpha. She will next be seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya, slated for release in November. Sharvari will be the face of Reva’s brand campaigns across print, digital, outdoor and in-store, beginning with the festive and wedding season.
A perfect match: why Sharvari and Reva belong together
Reva was built for the woman who chooses for herself: confident, contemporary and proud of where she comes from. Sharvari is that woman. Born and raised in Mumbai with deep Maharashtrian roots, she has carved her own space in the film industry through hard work, range and an unapologetic sense of self. She brings a contemporary sensibility to tradition while making modernity her own, a balance that reflects Reva’s designs, from everyday diamond pieces to heirloom-worthy bridal jewellery.
There is also a deeper parallel. A natural diamond is not made overnight; it is shaped by time, pressure and patience into something rare. Sharvari’s journey, built role by role, reflects the same quiet strength. The association brings together a brand rooted in nearly two centuries of trust and an actor who represents where the Indian woman is headed next.
Reva and the meaning of ‘natural’
At the heart of Reva is a simple promise: every diamond is real, natural and certified. Natural diamonds are formed deep within the earth over billions of years under immense heat and pressure, and no two are ever alike. Each one carries a story that cannot be replicated, which is why a natural diamond has been passed down across generations as a symbol of permanence and value.
Backed by the 194+ year legacy of the P. N. Gadgil & Sons Group, Reva brings that same culture of trust and transparency to diamond jewellery. Every Reva piece comes with certification, so customers know exactly what they are buying. As choices in the diamond category widen, Reva remains committed to a single idea: diamonds that are as real as the moments they celebrate.
Growing Reva’s footprint
The Sharvari partnership comes as Reva accelerates its retail and digital expansion. The brand currently operates 38 stores, comprising 5 exclusive brand outlets and 34 shop-in-shop counters within the P. N. Gadgil & Sons network, with a strong presence across Maharashtra and a growing footprint in Gujarat and Karnataka. Recent openings include exclusive stores at Amanora Mall, Pune (July 2026) and Nashik (September 2026).
Following its IPO in March 2026, Reva is on track to open around 15 new company-owned exclusive stores within 24 months of listing. The rollout will focus primarily on Tier 1 cities, with selective expansion into Tier 2 cities and metro markets across Maharashtra and key North India markets. In September 2026, Reva also launched its e-commerce platform, revadiamonds.com, bringing its collections to customers across the country. With a pan-India appeal, Sharvari will be central to introducing Reva to these new markets and a new generation of diamond buyers.
Amit Modak, CEO, PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Limited, said:
“Reva is entering a defining phase. Since our listing, we have been expanding with clarity, opening exclusive stores, launching our online platform and preparing to take the brand into new cities, including key markets in North India. As we grow beyond our home ground, we need a face that resonates nationally while staying true to who we are. Sharvari does exactly that. Her appeal cuts across regions and age groups, and she will help us introduce Reva and the value of a certified natural diamond to many more customers across India.”

Aditya Modak, Director, Reva by PNGS, said:

“Our very first brand ambassador had to be someone who truly reflects the Reva woman, and Sharvari was a natural choice in every sense. She is rooted, she is real, and she has earned her place through her own effort, much like a natural diamond is shaped over time. Today’s woman buys diamonds not only for weddings but for herself, for her milestones and for her every day. Sharvari embodies that confidence, and together we want to make natural diamonds a part of more women’s stories.”
Sharvari, Brand Ambassador, Reva, said:
“Being the first face of Reva makes this association especially exciting for me. As a Maharashtrian, P. N. Gadgil & Sons is a name I’ve known and associated with trust and tradition for as long as I can remember. What drew me to Reva is how it brings natural diamonds into the everyday, with designs that feel modern while still holding on to the timelessness of the stone. I’m happy to be part of a brand that makes diamonds feel relevant to different moments in a woman’s life, from ordinary days to the most special occasions.”
