A 15 member delegation from Thailand Commerce Ministry and GJ Institute of Thailand (GIT) including Nuntawan Shakuntanga, Chairman-GIT, met their Indian counterparts at IIGJ, Sitapura Jaipur. They met Indian representatives including Nirmal Bardiya, Regional Chairman GJEPC, Naval Agrawal, IIGJ chairman, Alok Saukhiya, Chairman, Jewellers Association, Jaipur and Arvind Gupta, Chairman, Sitapura, Jewellers Association.
The meeting underscored the critical need for collaboration between the two countries to provide necessary impetus to the GJ sector, especially the colour gemstones segment.Cooperation and joint initiatives was the only way to tackle the current downturn in the industry. The representatives of both countries discussed students exchange programs, technology exchange, business delegation exchange programs and joint participation in international trade shows.
