According to Guinness World Records, the 7,525-carat Chipembele is the largest uncut emerald ever found. The emerald was discovered at Gemfields' Kagem mine in Zambia a month earlier, surpassing the 5,655- and 6,225-carat emeralds found in 2010 and 2018, respectively.
Provenance Proof, Gübelin Gem Lab's traceability program, has tracked this precious stone to its source. This platform records the stone's DNA, ensuring all cut and polished stones derived from rough remain identifiable.
