Elton John’s jewellery to be auctioned at Christie’s New York

Elton John’s exquisite jewelry will be on the block at Christie’s New York in The Collection of Sir Elton John: Goodbye Peachtree Road, a series of eight online and in-person auctions taking place from Feb. 8 through Feb. 28. Sale lots are composed mainly of John’s belongings from the home on Peachtree Road in Atlanta that he owned from the early ’90s until last year.

“This extraordinary collection not only showcases a diverse array of remarkable objects that encapsulate Elton’s unique life, work, and art but also provides our clients with a glimpse into the profound impact that the city of Atlanta had on him,” said the deputy chairman of Christie’s Americas, Tash Perrin, in a statement.

“In the two weeks leading up to the sales, Christie’s Rockefeller Center galleries will transform into a series of specially designed immersive spaces, offering a dynamic view into the world of Elton John,” said Perrin. “We take immense pride in presenting this multi-category sale, featuring a refined assortment of photographs, artworks, fashion, and costumes—a testament to a man’s eclectic vision, artistry, and impeccable taste.”
